The Governing Body announced the Russian Court's decision to the Bethel Family. Brother Barr made the announcement representing the Coordinator's Committee of the GB. He said they do not really know how our brothers will be affected yet. But they plan to explore the options that they have within the Russian Justice System. Also they have the option of appealing to the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR)


He did say that we are not afraid in this situation. Unfavorable decisions will mean worse news for the Governments as noted in verse 28 of this scripture:

(Philippians 1:27-28) 27 Only behave in a manner worthy of the good news about the Christ, in order that, whether I come and see YOU or be absent, I may hear about the things which concern YOU, that YOU are standing firm in one spirit, with one soul striving side by side for the faith of the good news, 28 and in no respect being frightened by YOUR opponents. This very thing is a proof of destruction for them, but of salvation for YOU; and this [indication] is from God,

And he encouraged us to remember Isaiah 54:17:

(Isaiah 54:17) 17 Any weapon whatever that will be formed against you will have no success, and any tongue at all that will rise up against you in the judgment you will condemn. This is the hereditary possession of the servants of Jehovah, and their righteousness is from me," is the utterance of Jehovah.
